Description and technical specification of the bandsaw HBE1060A Performance:
The new high-performance automatic bandsawing machines of the HBE Performance series, provide performance, ease of use and energy efficiency. You can rely on accurate and fast cuts in easy to difficult to cut materials, in solids, tubes and profiles. The rigid, low-vibration saw frame in cast iron construction and the linear guide system in portal design ensure the best cutting results and maximum blade service life.
By the standard servo-downfeed system with BEHRINGER cutting pressure control, the HBE Performance series provides short idle times and a precise saw feed movement. The standard cutting pressure control prevents overloading of the saw blade and increases the lifetime significantly. It therefore offers the best conditions for a dynamic, tool gentle sawing.
Band Guiding Parts Made of Grey Cast Iron:
Band guiding parts made by BEHRINGER provide for vibration dampening directly at the origin and thus an increase in tool life. Cast in our own foundry with the know-how gained from decades.
Saw Frame:
High cutting accuracy and long blade life time due to the special design made of cast iron. The centric power flow between the wheels ensures the maximum blade tensioning forces.
Height adjustment of the saw frame:
Fully automatic height adjustment of the saw frame according to the material level. To ensure short idle times in automatic mode, the standard material height sensing switches from rapid speed to saw feed right above the material.
Saw Band Guides:
Exact blade guiding by dampening double roller bearings and hydraulically tensioned carbide guides. Automatic adjustment of the movable band guide to the material cross section.
Saw Band Drive:
BEHRINGER saws are equipped with a high-torque, frequency-controlled saw drive. The cutting speed can be flexibly adapted to the material quality to be sawn.
Electronic monitoring of minimum speed:
The saw band drive switches-off immediately at deviation of the minimal adjustable speed per minute.
Down Feed Control:
The saw downfeed is performed electronically controlled via ball screw. This results in a constant chip load and short non-productive times. The BEHRINGER cutting pressure control system increases the cutting performance when cutting pipes and profiles, as it automatically adjusts the saw feed to the changing material cross sections. By arranging directly at the back of the saw blade, the system regulates responsive and precise.
Saw Blade Cleaning with BEHRINGER Quick-Change Device:
Band saw blade cleaning by a rotating chip brush with electric drive.The cleaning performance is synchronously adjusted to the cutting speed. By the special angle of engagement, the teeth of the saw blade are protected.
With the standard quick-change device, the chip brush can be easily changed, without tools in very short time.
Material Clamping Device:
Hydraulic horizontal clamping of the material with full-stroke of the cylinder. The hardened material clamping device are arranged on the output side of the saw band. The fix jaw moves off with short stroke. When cutting thin-walled tubes the use of form jaws can be necessary.
Automatic Material Feeding:
Electric ball screw driven incremental material feed gripper. The robust gripper with a closed roller table ensures safe feeding of solid materials and tubes. The fixed jaw is retracting for secure material transport. The movable vice jaw of the gripper moves over the entire cutting area in one stroke.
BEHRINGER BT65 Touch Panel with Auto-Feed Control:
The intuitive touch PLC with clear user interface will change working with the BEHRINGER bandsaws fundamentally. It provides at a glance information about the sawing parameters used - changing jobs and single cuts can be processed as efficiently.
The control includes both a job database and a freely editable material database containing the most important technology parameters. The standard Auto-Feed-Control automatically adjusts the cutting rates to the cross section of the material.
The BT65 PLC with 5. 7" QVGA display with resistive touch screen is designed to operate even with gloves.

Full-covering of the Machine:
The sawing cell is completely cased for the protection of labour. The swart and coolant spillage in the area of the machine is kept to a minimum. Large doors enable easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
Cutting Precision:
Given perfect conditions and tools the deviation in cut is within 0, 1 mm for each 100 mm of cutting height, for normal to machine materials. This corresponds in certain extend to the specifications of straightness and evenness in accordance with DIN ISO 2768 part 2-K for nominal size of 30 mm. The precision of the cutting length that can be reached for single bars and lengths over 6 mm corresponds to data which is listed in DIN ISO 2768 part 1-f.
The length cutting precision is restricted when cutting unstraight material, twisted material or material with burr.
Power supply:
The parts of the machine are executed for power supply 460V- 60 Hz - with neutral wire.
Auto-Feed Control with integrated blade deflection monitor system (Pos. 32):
Automatic feed control system for automatic set-up of speed and feed rate according to input of material grade and width of material. The deflection of the saw blade is continuously monitored while machine is cutting. Two deviation thresholds are preset by the saw operator. If the first threshold is exceeded the down feed is reduced in several steps. The control resets the feed step by step to the initial value as soon as the deviation is reduced. If the first threshold is unvaried or displayed for a longer time the machine switches off after finishing the cut. If the second threshold is reached the machine switches off immediately.
Saw band drive (Pos. 50-3):
A stable gear with corresponding translation and a drive with higher power are provided for adaptation to individual requirements.
